Boxes of Oranges Bring the Nativity To Your Neighbourhood!

Here is a great Idea that I want to pass on to you this Christmas. A friend of mine told me what they were doing for their neighbours this year. They plan to purchase 1000 boxes of oranges and have their church deliver them to their neighbourhood on December 24 in the morning.
Here’s what I want to encourage you to do. Go to your favorite grocery store and purchase several boxes of oranges. Go home, write out some Christmas cards to your neighbours. It doesn’t matter if you know their names or not, just write Dear Neighbour, they won’t mind and it will give you a reason to find out their name. Give them the box of oranges and tell them that your pastor encouraged you to bring The Nativity to your Neighbourhood this year, and so you decided to give gifts. Wish them a "Merry Christmas" and all the best for the New Year and tell them
that you're thankful that you are neighbours with them!
Say good-bye and go to the next house.
How easy and yet how great is that! Oh...and if you want to tuck an invitation to the Special Christmas Eve Celebration at our Church on Dec. 24, then you can do that too.
Consider it a Love Winnipeg act in December.
All the Best as you love your neighbours and bring the Nativity to Your Neighbourhood.
Pastor Brian
