Reflecting theLight!
I had an experience the other day that I've never had before. There is a new home directly behind us and as one of the workers was cleaning the windows he opened it so that the sun reflected directly into our kitchen. The warmth and brilliance of that reflection caught me directly in the chest and made a huge impact on my perspective. I could not believe that there was so much warmth from that single window. I was instantly experiencing the heat of the sun from a place where I thought I was out of it's reach. The brightness of the beam impacted me as well. I had been turned into a brilliant....o.k......bright husband, father, and pastor standing in his kitchen. It gave me a whole new perspective on reflecting the Son in my life.
I made a decision that I want my life to be like that window. To reflect the warmth and light of the Son of God in each and every situaion that I find myself involved in. Just today in talking with a friend, I reminded him that as a church and as followers of Jesus Christ we are to offer help and hope to everyone who comes our way.
I want to offer that hope and help through the reflection of Jesus in my life. So today I'm working on polishing my reflection ablilty so that Jesus is as clear as I can reflect him.
Shine for Jesus.
