It's Cold Outside!

O.K. there is no question now in Winnipeg that it is indeed.....ccccCold oooOut sssSide! It seems like everything is plugged in to keep warm and there are times when it seems it would be easier to just stay inside and try to ignore what's going on outside. But....this is Winnipeg and those who live here don't let a few degrees stop them from living. The circumstances around us can't be the major influence in our lives...if that were the case...we would be tossed back and forth by whatever the days bring. There is a better way....take each day and approach it like it was Christmas...a gift to open and experience. Regardless of whether it is cold outside, or the streets are slippery, or your hair is full of electricity.....this is the day that the Lord has given to us and we are to Rejoice and be glad in it. How is that possible? My making sure that no matter what goes on around you, you take care to have the right things happen "Within You!" Jesus came to make us different on the Inside....in our thinking.....in our souls....in our living out of the relationship we have with Jesus. So if everything is right on the inside....it doesn't matter what is happening on the outside....it's going to be a great day because we are living it with the Shepherd of our Souls. There is such peace knowing that Jesus Christ desires to direct our paths and to protect us and guide us.

So today as you venture into your gift from God....don't forget to have things right on the inside of your life before you go into cold Outside.
