Whatever became of Integrity?

Merriam-webster dictionary defines integrity as:

1 : firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values - Incorruptibility

2 : an unimpaired condition - Soundness

3 : the quality or state of being complete or undivided - Completeness

Incorruptability......Soundness.....Completeness....! These words seem foreign to our world these days. Look around and it is easy to see....we....yes, you and I....we have a problem. There are so few that seem to be incorruptible. Leaders in our world, our nation, our city and our communities, and our churches all seem to be challenged when it comes to a firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values.

And then there is that term .....soundness. It refers to an unimpaired condition. How many of us would say that we are living life free of an unimpaired condition is some area of our life.

And then we come to Completeness.....the state or being complete or undivided. Look at our political leadership and you'll find a lack of this unity. Look at our marriages and we are lacking integrity. Why does it seem that it is more attractive in our world to be evil than it is to be adhering to a code of moral values? Why do those who have the courage to stay with a spouse and work through the issues stand to be ridiculed as weak and stupid compared to those who pick up and run away with the old standby..."we're not compatible anymore."

What's not compatible with our future is the lack of Integrity. Integrity in your life and in my life is the foundation that our future societies need to be founded upon. Something that has strength enough to stand up for what is right, to adhere to a code of values that bring about an unimpaired condition of completeness or unity.

My call goes out to those who desire to be men and women of integrity....people who know that the best we can be is when we align ourselves with the principles of the Word of God and choose to make unpopular choices and do the right thing.

God is looking for those who will go to Him for the life of Integrity. A life he provides, he empowers, he uses.

Today is a great day to tell the God of the Universe that you want His will and His way to be manifested in your life. Go ahead ..... do it. Life will never be the same.
