Why are we involved in the Franklin Graham Festival? Don’t we have enough to do around the church through the ministries already? This event looks like it will take a lot of time and there are no guaranteed results…why are we involved??
All good questions, especially in today’s busy schedules and family events. This Sunday we will take a look at all the opportunities that are available to us as individuals and corporately as a church in regards to the Franklin Graham Festival, and discover WHY??? we are involved.
As you prepare to come to worship on Sunday, I would encourage you to read Hebrews 9:11 to the end of the chapter. I will be looking at these verses and it would be very helpful if you were familiar with them before Sunday morning.
Life Application Bible Classes – 9:30am sharp -10:30am
Last Sunday we were introduced to several options for men, women and children when it comes to Life Change options during the 9:30-10:30am time slot. Come early this Sunday and join others who are discovering God’s design and plan for men and women.
Ministry Emphasis – Kidz Church
Each week we are going to highlight a ministry during our Sunday Morning Worship time to better acquaint the people of McDermot with all that ministries that are taking place and where there is opportunity to use their gifts, abilities and talents. This Sunday our focus is on Kidz Church! Michael Schmidt has provided leadership to this new direction in Sunday Morning Children’s Ministry for some time now and is continuing the development and refinement of this vital ministry. Hear Michael this Sunday as he brings us up to date on the needs within this area and how each of us can be involved.
Volunteering at McDermot
At the end of the Worship service on Sept. 17, Pastor Brian issued a call to everyone who sensed God’s call to be involved in some way in ministries here at McDermot. If you were one of those who felt God direct you…please contact Pastor Brian or one of the Ministry Leads to discover the options available.
The Doctor Needs a Healer!
Just to update those who read and pray. Dr. John Foerster suffered a fall this past week which resulted in a dislocated shoulder and a kidney that is bleeding. Please pray for him as he has to remain on bed rest for 3-4 days. Putting his own shoulder back in was likely less painful than laying around for 3-4 days. You know John. But he promised to listen to the doctor. Pray for him as he is waiting for God to touch him and stop the bleeding.
