1.Persevering through Difficult Days
How often have you wondered, "How do they do it?" I'm talking about people who encounter incredibly difficult days and yet they seem to keep going and work their way through. Days of unexpected or even expected disasters….and yet they keep going! They pull through! We've been reminded of those type of people so recently as the Amish community had their quiet, almost surreal life, bludgeoned with terror. Who would have thought that could happen in their community? Not me? But it did and they did more than cope...they excelled in facing the difficulties of life and death, and in living simply…..demonstrated that it is possible to persevere through difficult days.
What about those who have their faith challenged? Those who have their lives threatened and suffer economic and property loss? How do they keep going, day after day, threat after threat, assault after assault?
This Sunday we'll discover the answer from Hebrews 10 as we look closely at verses 19-39. Many people are familiar with how this section begins …. In fact...they are quick to quote it to you if you've missed a Sunday or two...but we can forgive them and look further on into the chapter and discover the powerful words near the end. Read it before you come to worship and expect God to help you see How "Belief fuels Perseverance!
Looking forward to enjoying a cup of coffee with you on Sunday as we search God's Word,
Pastor Brian
2. Looking Ahead!
Next Weekend is the Franklin Graham Festival here at the MTS Centre. By now, we've all seen the billboards, heard about the great musical artists and the special features for the Youth and Children. The Festival will be held from October 20-22 and everyone in Winnipeg is invited. Franklin is the well known son of Evangelist Billy Graham and is a gifted evangelist and communicator. This next weekend is where the results of all our Operation Andrew prayers will come together for life-change in our friends. Pray, and bring your friends to the MTS centre during this event. It will be one event that will change your life.
