Have you ever stood by a street and watched a parade pass-by? Each float or band brings something unique or special to the parade. In the Book of Hebrews we find a very unique and intriguing parade….a parade of heroes! In the first 7 verses of chapter 11 we find the answer to the age old question...What is Faith? Then in the remaining verses we discover how it works in real life situations. One by one, the heroes pass by our eyes….Abraham, Moses, Rahab the harlot, and Sarah. The big bands may not be playing and the flowers on may not be fresh, but the images of these men and women who understood and lived by “faith”, are a model to all of us today.
Read through chapter 11 and focus on the first 11 verses for Sunday in order to be mentally prepared for what God might ask you to do…in faith.

An All Church Family Christmas Banquet and Celebration
It all started in the minds of several members of our church congregation… “why don’t we combine several small Christmas Parties and make it one large one where the entire congregation can get together, like one big family, and enjoy the Christmas season?” It sounded like such a good idea that it was soon more than just an idea…it was reality.So...as you begin to fill in your Christmas Calendar, keep Saturday, December 2 free for an evening of Fellowship with your friends here at McDermot. There will be much more information coming in the future...but for now...plan to enjoy a night of eating, singing, and laughter with your friends here at McDermot, as we Celebrate as a church family.
