Easily Distracted!

I was at a Water Park the other day with my two girls and I noticed a boy walk by through the spraying water with a t-shirt on that caught my eye. It read....Easily Distracted! That's all it said.....but that was enough. I thought, here is one honest young boy or a mother trying to warn others....but then I thought about my life and thought I should get a shirt like it. Maybe you can relate.....I find in my life that my best intentions of doing things end up just that.....good intentions because I am easily distracted. They might be good distractionsbut they still take me away from what I have determined to be God's plan for my life for that time of the day. If you are ED, then you could related to a prayer like this.
Today Lord, my desire is to be focused on you and not easily distracted. I submit my wandering mind to you for transformation. I submit my body to you for whatever it is you want to use it for to serve your purposes. I submit my will to yours and open my eyes to the things you want me to do and the person you want me to be. In the name of the One who was never distracted....Jesus...Amen.
Maybe you find your summer slipping away and you've become distracted, easily...well, change that. Today...focus.....Pray....then write out that list of things to do. Prioritize it...and get on it! Summer....no....life itself...is too short to be distracted from the will and mission of God for your life or mine.
Keeping it focused on GOD and life...oh, look a bird....
