When you hear the word "green" these days it could be interpreted many different ways. The Green Party has never seen this kind of media sunlight and at the same time...it seems that everything green is turning yellow around us.
A strange time of year to have the theme for October as "Grow Green", but that's what we've done here at McDermot. We're looking at the resources that God has entrusted to us and then we are radically changing our response to that trust. Actually we are all going to be encouraged and challenged to move one shade darker in our commitment. Too often we think we have to go completely radical for there to be any change, but that is not true. If we all take a step in the direction of change, there would be a huge shift. Like a paint sample from your local hardware store. If you move just one shade darker toward more obedience and more commitment to use the resources you've been entrusted with ..... it will make a huge difference...in our world, our city, and our families.
As the leaves turn color and fall off the trees around our city...come and see how you can "Grow Green" with the things God has entrusted you.
See you Sunday,
Pastor Brian
