There is a new ad on t.v. where a group of co-workers are in a room and a lady comes in and checks with the boss and then he verifies it and sits down and tells the group, "we've just won the 649!" There's smiles all 'round and laughing and celebrating.
Easter is better than the lottery. The lottery is a gamble. You buy a ticket and hope that it wins. The chances are usually 100's to 1,if not greater. Easter on the other hand is no gamble. God clearly raised Jesus from the dead and there is so much evidence both from the Bible and so much extra-biblical evidence, that it's a sure thing.
Question it if you like, but not before you investigate it throughly. An huge opportunity to re-connect with The Holy God who created you and me. To have an open invitation to be forgiven of our wrongs, be invited into relationship with God. It's no wonder that it is the greatest celebration in the Christian calendar.
This Easter Sunday.....tomorrow.....join others and talk a good hard look at Jesus!
John 3:16 reads, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."
If you are a bit short of hope this Easter, look at John 3:16...the Numbers of Hope!
